The audience thought a goal was coming when Unai Duñabeitia got free with José Marcelo Albertz in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Unai Duñabeitia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. José Marcelo Albertz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Conrado Tuñon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jacindo Johnson hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. 31 minutes into the match, Cecilio Orella had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Casimír Vildosola. Serenita's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cecilio Orella was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Enzo Biggs fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Casimír Vildosola having to interfere. Conrado Tuñon succeeded in the game's 41st minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-1. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Enzo Biggs stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 55th match minute, Serenita was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bermejo Zamorano to maneuver through the defense. If Cecilio Orella had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Casimír Vildosola stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Enzo Biggs's shot from short distance in the 80th minute. A collision led to Serenita getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Paulino Portusagasti hit a great ball. Cecilio Orella could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Casimír Vildosola made a huge save. If Enzo Biggs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
