Seating: 3316, VIP seats: 288) Alain Berset made the kick off and thus started the match. In the 4th minute, Severo Rolado ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kim-André van der Schans was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Kim-André van der Schans took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gregorio Urtsin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 12th minute, Argentina's Ceferino Nalo seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Ceferino Nalo the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Argentina protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Ceferino Nalo had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 18 minutes into the match, Argentina's goalkeeper Lev Yashin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Martin Rutsch. Switzerland's Kim-André van der Schans played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vicente Nevada in the 19th minute of play. Benedicto Naelio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kim-André van der Schans having to interfere. Kim-André van der Schans made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vicente Nevada in the 22nd minute of play. Argentina were awarded a corner in the 27th minute after Switzerland's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Modesto Gipuzkoa took the corner. 28 minutes into the game, Alain Berset recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Lev Yashin. Alain Berset showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. In the 31st minute, Vicente Nevada left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Argentina fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benedicto Naelio in the 35th minute of play forced Switzerland's goalkeeper Kim-André van der Schans to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kim-André van der Schans made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Samuel Jobo in the 38th minute of play. Kim-André van der Schans showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vicente Nevada in the 44th minute of the match. The supporters of Switzerland booed when Argentina was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dani Carbajal didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 45th minute of the match Martin Rutsch sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lev Yashin skillfully saved the ball. Benedicto Naelio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Switzerland made a substitution. Kim-André van der Schans showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vicente Nevada in the 55th minute of the match. Lev Yashin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gutierre Lauri in the 60th minute of play. Kim-André van der Schans stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gregorio Urtsin's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. The Argentina fans' excitement grew in the 62nd match minute when Argentina's Gregorio Urtsin looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Argentina's Loco Durazno was substituted for Vicente Nevada. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benedicto Naelio in the 67th minute of play forced Switzerland's goalkeeper Kim-André van der Schans to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kim-André van der Schans made an important save on a dangerous shot by Samuel Jobo in the 69th minute. Loco Durazno in the 71stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Kim-André van der Schans, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. 77 minutes into the match, Switzerland's goalkeeper Kim-André van der Schans had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Samuel Jobo. With his leg Kim-André van der Schans managed to avoid a goal in the 79thth minute, when Argentina's Loco Durazno fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Lev Yashin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Martin Rutsch in the 82nd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Endrik Fuchs's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Lev Yashin was relentless in the 86th minute of the game. In the 86th minute Endrik Fuchs shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lev Yashin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Loco Durazno got free with Kim-André van der Schans in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Switzerland's zone, Benedicto Naelio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kim-André van der Schans came out of the goal and Benedicto Naelio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kim-André van der Schans made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Samuel Jobo in the 97th minute of play.
