Spectators: 7310 (Terracing: 5484, Seating: 1681, VIP seats: 145) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Tião Saldanha kicked off to start the match. Tião Saldanha did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised César Lopes 3 minutes into the match. In the 8th minute Tião Saldanha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but César Lopes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Telmo Mazza took the ball and in the 10 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised César Lopes. César Lopes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. The crowd rose to their feet as Tião Saldanha kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving César Lopes. That made the score 3-0 in the 16 minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Aluísio Trigo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cajueirinho SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Aluísio Trigo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luiz Paulo Madureira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luiz Paulo Madureira came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Cajueirinho SS's Aluísio Trigo. But to his dismay, Aluísio Trigo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Aluísio Trigo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Telmo Mazza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Telmo Mazza made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 35thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but César Lopes would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. When Telmo Mazza came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Triângulo Mineiro FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Telmo Mazza couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tião Saldanha in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck César Lopes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Tião Saldanha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Aluísio Trigo was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 51 minutes, Giuseppe Vieira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cajueirinho SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Giuseppe Vieira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Luiz Paulo Madureira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aluísio Trigo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 54th minute, Pedro Andrade hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 59th match minute, Cajueirinho SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Caio Paulista to maneuver through the defense. Giuseppe Vieira kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Triângulo Mineiro FC's Luiz Paulo Madureira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bebeto Tróia in the 65th minute of play. Triângulo Mineiro FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 67th minute, when Aluísio Trigo scored to the left of an out of position Luiz Paulo Madureira, making the score, 4-2. After some careless play in the Cajueirinho SS defense, Tião Saldanha kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of César Lopes. The Cajueirinho SS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that César Lopes should have stopped the shot. The supporters of Cajueirinho SS booed when Triângulo Mineiro FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oscar Madureira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tião Saldanha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 89 minutes, Tião Saldanha managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Triângulo Mineiro FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tião Saldanha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 96thth minute of the game Telmo Mazza who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cajueirinho SS's César Lopes was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Triângulo Mineiro FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
