Rodrigo Teles blasted a shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Telmo Sousa having to make a save. Criciúma EC's Telmo Sousa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonathan Lopes in the 15th minute of play. Edu Bueno struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Fred do Valle didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Criciúma EC. Edu Bueno fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fred do Valle having to interfere. If Edu Bueno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Inema getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Anselmo Vides hit a great ball. Jonathan Lopes struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Telmo Sousa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. Alessandro Rodrigues hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match.

After some fancy dribbling in the 52nd minute, Jonathan Lopes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Inema's supporters rose to their feet, but Jonathan Lopes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Telmo Sousa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 69th minute, Rodrigo Teles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 74 played minutes Criciúma EC got a freekick which was hit by Alessandro Rodrigues. After 78 played minutes Criciúma EC got a freekick which was hit by Aloísio Vides. The supporters of Criciúma EC booed when Inema was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jonathan Lopes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jonathan Lopes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Telmo Sousa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Criciúma EC's Telmo Sousa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 89th minute of the match, managed to save Criciúma EC from getting a goal against them.
