A collision led to CF Teresinense getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Valdomiro Sena hit a great ball. After 33 played minutes, Ariquemes's Tales Schmidt shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Chico Cabral came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ariquemes reached it. After 34 minutes, Tales Schmidt mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ariquemes and the CF Teresinense players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 35 played minutes Ariquemes got a freekick which was hit by Tales Schmidt. After 40 played minutes, Ariquemes's Tales Schmidt shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Chico Cabral came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ariquemes reached it. Chico Cabral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adilson de Almeida in the 43rd minute of the match. In the 45th match minute, CF Teresinense was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valdomiro Sena to maneuver through the defense. José Augusto Siqueira took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 48th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Chico Cabral. CF Teresinense's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After the first half Ariquemes were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Valdir Vaz to make the kick off. CF Teresinense's Chico Cabral proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save CF Teresinense from getting a goal against them. Chico Cabral made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dalmo Branco in the 56th minute. Ariquemes's Tales Schmidt shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 58th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Chico Cabral but with some difficulty. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Adilson de Almeida in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Chico Cabral saved CF Teresinense from getting behind. It seemed to be an obvious goal in the 61st minute, but Chico Cabral got his fingers on the ball or the save, leaving CF Teresinense hanging dry this time. Chico Cabral made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dalmo Branco in the 63rd minute. Ariquemes's Tales Schmidt shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 65th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Chico Cabral but with some difficulty. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dalmo Branco got free with Chico Cabral in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Through an outstanding action, after 69 minutes, Chico Cabral successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Adilson de Almeida sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dalmo Branco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chico Cabral having to interfere. Dalmo Brancos short, quick shot in the 79thth minute got Chico Cabral to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Chico Cabral was a little too slow when Adilson de Almeida got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 81st minute. The score was now 0-2. In the 88th minute Adilson de Almeida shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chico Cabral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 90th minute of the match, Adilson de Almeida tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Chico Cabral saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When the final whistle sounded Ariquemes left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than CF Teresinense.
