In the 12th minute, Black Bears Beernem's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Didier Van Lueven fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. 16 minutes into the match, KFC Meulebeke's goal looked a bit too open when Garry Coeckelberghs came free, but Gustave De Werdt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 19th match minute, Black Bears Beernem was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dreas Imbreghts to maneuver through the defense. When the match clock showed 20 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Kaká Junior sped through Black Bears Beernem's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Bruno Borglevens. Kaká Junior fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bruno Borglevens having to interfere. Bruno Borglevens made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Kaká Junior sent off a good shot on target. Manuel Rijmenans received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Bruno Borglevens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to KFC Meulebeke getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Manuel Rijmenans hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cederic De Winter in the 30th minute of play forced KFC Meulebeke's goalkeeper Gustave De Werdt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kaká Junior got free with Bruno Borglevens in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Black Bears Beernem's Bruno Borglevens got control of the ball when Bernd Van den Haute tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 38th minute Kaká Junior shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bruno Borglevens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The KFC Meulebeke fans' excitement grew in the 40th match minute when KFC Meulebeke's Kaká Junior looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cederic De Winter to make the kick off. After having played for 51 minutes, Cederic De Winter managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Black Bears Beernem's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cederic De Winter was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kaká Junior scored 5-0 in the 56th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bruno Borglevens, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Cederic De Winter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kaká Junior might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bruno Borglevens. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kaká Junior ran back to his position shaking his head. Didier Van Lueven fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bruno Borglevens having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cederic De Winter during the 68th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Bruno Borglevens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jacob Calstermans, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dreas Imbreghts kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. Kaká Junior sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out.
