Ruy Cearense was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. When Juan Couto fell near the penalty area in the 13th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored BEST FABIO F.C.'s protests and gave Juan Couto a yellow card for diving instead. After 15 minutes of play, ...Pingue S.C....'s Rosario Ternero made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ruy Cearense was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 18 played minutes BEST FABIO F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Juan Couto. After some careless play in the ...Pingue S.C.... defense, Emerson Matorin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Omar Monesterio. The ...Pingue S.C.... fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Omar Monesterio should have stopped the shot. 26 minutes into the match, BEST FABIO F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Rosario Ternero came free, but Ruy Cearense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to BEST FABIO F.C. getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Eurico Queirós hit a great ball. If Emerson Matorin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ruy Cearense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rosario Ternero in the 33rd minute of play. Emerson Matorin charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Emerson Matorin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 45 minutes into the match, BEST FABIO F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Rosario Ternero came free, but Ruy Cearense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Darío Urioste was the one to do the kick off. When Marques Cal fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ...Pingue S.C....'s protests and gave Marques Cal a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of BEST FABIO F.C. booed when ...Pingue S.C.... was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marques Cal didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 58 minutes BEST FABIO F.C.'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Victoro Monterroso who took care of the corner kick. Cornelio Puertas hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Horácio Pombal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Omar Monesterio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Juan Couto kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Victoro Monterroso managed to get in a good position for a shot. ...Pingue S.C....'s supporters rose to their feet, but Victoro Monterroso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ruy Cearense breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Darío Urioste in the 81st minute of play forced BEST FABIO F.C.'s goalkeeper Ruy Cearense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ruy Cearense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cesar Porrata, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, ...Pingue S.C....'s Victoro Monterroso got a free kick in the 88th minute. Cesar Porrata fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ruy Cearense having to interfere. 1-5 became the score in the 94th minute when Rosario Ternero elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. ...Pingue S.C.... walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
