Kutsikad's Sten Liib proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save Kutsikad from getting a goal against them. In the 15th match minute, Kutsikad was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dé 吕布 to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Bennis defense, Sebastián Caniggia kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Leonardo Jara. The Bennis fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Leonardo Jara should have stopped the shot. Leonardo Jara made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sebastián Caniggia in the 21st minute of play. Kutsikad's Sten Liib proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Kutsikad from getting a goal against them. Mikk Leks hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Sten Liib made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Edwin Söderqvist sent off a good shot on target. 31 minutes into the match, Kutsikad's goalkeeper Sten Liib had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edwin Söderqvist. After 32 minutes of play, Bennis's Cai Cheng Sang made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sten Liib was left in no man's land by his defense there! Edwin Söderqvist could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Sten Liib made a huge save. After 38 played minutes Kutsikad got a freekick which was hit by Mikk Leks. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edwin Söderqvist got free with Sten Liib in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell 西门 亮 to make the kick off.
