The Internazionale-RS fans' excitement grew in the 6th match minute when Internazionale-RS's Moisés Cordeiro looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Oranil's Juan Velloso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Moisés Cordeiro in the 10th minute of play. After having played for 13 minutes, Rodriguinho Rossi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Internazionale-RS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rodriguinho Rossi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Carlos Fernando Proença kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Nilson Leão hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Juan Velloso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Moisés Cordeiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Rodriguinho Rossi took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Juan Velloso. Juan Velloso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. When the match had gone on for 26 minutes, Walmyr Félix put it in 0-4 from a short distance just to the right of Juan Velloso. With a little luck, Internazionale-RS's Stefan Neubrandt got control of the ball when Edmílson Catarinense tried to sneak it across the goal line. 33 minutes into the match, Oranil's goal looked a bit too open when Batiste Carrez came free, but Juan Velloso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 35th play minutes Batiste Carrez shot 0-5, a short shot which went by Juan Velloso and just under the crossbar into goal. Batiste Carrez struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Juan Velloso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Internazionale-RS. In the 39th minute, Carlos Fernando Proença hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Internazionale-RS's supporters rose to their feet, but Batiste Carrez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Juan Velloso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With an all-out effort, Internazionale-RS's Juan Velloso threw himself towards the right post 54 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Moisés Cordeiro, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The audience thought a goal was coming when Walmyr Félix got free with Juan Velloso in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Juan Velloso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Batiste Carrez in the 57th minute of the match. 65 minutes into the match, Kléber Saldanha notched a goal, 1-6, to the right of Internazionale-RS's Stefan Neubrandt. Stefan Neubrandt was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Juan Velloso was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Batiste Carrez showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-7 in the 70 minute of play. 73 minutes into the match, Moisés Cordeiro notched a goal, 1-8, to the right of Oranil's Juan Velloso. Juan Velloso was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 76 minutes into the game, Rodriguinho Rossi recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Juan Velloso. Rodriguinho Rossi showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-9. In the 79th minute, Juarês Salles had to leave the field with a concussion. When Kléber Saldanha fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Oranil's protests and gave Kléber Saldanha a yellow card for diving instead. In the 81st match minute, Oranil was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kléber Saldanha to maneuver through the defense. After 82 minutes, Batiste Carrez made it 1-10 with a short kick to the right side. Oranil's Juan Velloso tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Oranil booed when Internazionale-RS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jorge-Luis Pereira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Oranil's defense didn't have a chance, in the 89th minute, when Batiste Carrez scored to the left of an out of position Juan Velloso, making the score, 1-11. Juan Velloso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Moisés Cordeiro in the 93rd minute of play. Walmyr Félix was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 94th minute. Internazionale-RS's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance.
