Green Academy were furious when Natã Ramalho was red carded, 9 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in Green Academy fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 8th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Tio Patinhas a penalty, 10 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Paulo Renato Valladares, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Green Academy's Marco Pimenta. 0-1. In the 14th minute, Paulo Renato Valladares ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marco Pimenta was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Alexandre Falcão recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Paulo Renato Valladares kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. In the 37th minute, Tio Patinhas's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Eleuterio Chabier fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Walmir Peres kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Walmir Peres in the 43rd minute of play forced Green Academy's goalkeeper Marco Pimenta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hudson Cordeiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eleuterio Chabier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Green Academy's Edvaldo Silveira was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Hudson Cordeiro in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. The Green Academy players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Tio Patinhas were winning 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Geraldo Miranda stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Tio Patinhas defense, Eurico Viana kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hudson Cordeiro. The Tio Patinhas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hudson Cordeiro should have stopped the shot. 59 minutes into the match, Tio Patinhas's goal looked a bit too open when Eleuterio Chabier came free, but Hudson Cordeiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hudson Cordeiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eleuterio Chabier in the 64th minute of play. Quaresimale J.J. hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Green Academy's Quaresimale J.J. got a free kick in the 69th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maurinho Abreu in the 77th minute of play forced Tio Patinhas's goalkeeper Hudson Cordeiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Maurinho Abreu came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Green Academy fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maurinho Abreu couldn't finish the play. Green Academy made a substitution. Gerson Nascimento replaced Edvaldo Silveira. Hudson Cordeiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eurico Viana in the 86th minute of the match. 90 minutes into the match, Tio Patinhas's goal looked a bit too open when Alexandre Falcão came free, but Hudson Cordeiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 94th minute, Tostão Donato hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tostão Donato kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Joélson Duarte hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. Amílton de Andrade's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hudson Cordeiro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 97th minute of play. When the final whistle went the supporters of Tio Patinhas were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Green Academy side.
