In the 17thth minute of the game Iago Bala who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but S.E. Pindorama Eagles's Vassilis Nentakis was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The throw-in from Róbson Rossi in the 19th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by America Futebol Clube SP's Laércio Amorim. An unexpectedly hard shot by Miko Lehkosuo in the 22nd minute of play forced S.E. Pindorama Eagles's goalkeeper Vassilis Nentakis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 29 minutes into the match, America Futebol Clube SP's goalkeeper Stefan Rasiak had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Frits van Gaal. In the 30th minute Miko Lehkosuo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vassilis Nentakis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 32nd minute of the match, Frits van Gaal got a very nice opportunity to score, but Stefan Rasiak was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. America Futebol Clube SP's Laércio Amorim quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Róbson Rossi, made in the 43rd minute of the game. Vassilis Nentakis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iago Bala in the 45th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Frits van Gaal to strike the kick off in the second half. Stefan Rasiak took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ştefan Magheran, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vassilis Nentakis came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by America Futebol Clube SP's Zézinho Costa. But to his dismay, Zézinho Costa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. S.E. Pindorama Eagles's Pasha Opara was substituted for Diamantino Neves. 64 minutes into the game, Laércio Amorim threw the ball into play from the sideline. S.E. Pindorama Eagles's Róbson Rossi quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Zézinho Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Vassilis Nentakis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Stefan Rasiak didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ştefan Magheran went, in the 67th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Stefan Rasiak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frits van Gaal in the 72nd minute of play. 72 minutes into the match, America Futebol Clube SP's goal looked a bit too open when Frits van Gaal came free, but Stefan Rasiak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. America Futebol Clube SP's Arthur Laguna was substituted for Dreas Jamieson. Vassilis Nentakis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arthur Laguna in the 78th minute of play. America Futebol Clube SP's Stefan Rasiak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frits van Gaal in the 80th minute of play. When Olimpiu Pușcașu fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored S.E. Pindorama Eagles's protests and gave Olimpiu Pușcașu a yellow card for diving instead. Olimpiu Pușcașu hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pasha Opara in the 98th minute of play forced America Futebol Clube SP's goalkeeper Stefan Rasiak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the America Futebol Clube SP players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for S.E. Pindorama Eagles.
