That made the score 1-0 in the 4 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Júnior Toscano in the 10th minute of play forced 20 DE SETEMBRO's goalkeeper Sandro Fonseca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Claudinho Cearense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sandro Fonseca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claudinho Cearense in the 13th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Claudinho Cearense's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sandro Fonseca was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. Edvaldo Melo kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. BOA VISTA E.C.'s Júnior Toscano got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Claudinho Cearense scored 2-0 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sandro Fonseca, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Claudinho Cearense's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Sandro Fonseca firmly grabbed it by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Júnior Toscano in the 33rd minute of play forced 20 DE SETEMBRO's goalkeeper Sandro Fonseca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 36 minutes, Eriberto Recife took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Sandro Fonseca to make any attempt to save it. Sandro Fonseca showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alessandro Meirelles, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. The audience was convinced that Júnior Toscano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sandro Fonseca was relentless in the 45th minute of the game.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Maicon Freire to strike the kick off in the second half. Maicon Freire could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Célio Varela made a huge save. Claudinho Cearense kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. After 75 played minutes BOA VISTA E.C. got a freekick which was hit by Laerte Seco. In the 76th minute Maicon Freire shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Célio Varela saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudinho Cearense in the 78th minute of play forced 20 DE SETEMBRO's goalkeeper Sandro Fonseca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 84th minute Maicon Freire shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Célio Varela saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sandro Fonseca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Júnior Toscano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sandro Fonseca didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Claudinho Cearense went, in the 93rd minute, to the upper right corner, 6-0 was the resulting score. Sandro Fonseca came out of the goal in the 97th minute to try and stop a shot by BOA VISTA E.C.'s Júnior Toscano. But to his dismay, Júnior Toscano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-0. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. BOA VISTA E.C. fully deserved thier win.
