The audience thought a goal was coming when Arthur Soeiro got free with Alberto Palmeira in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Eliseu Guerra fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bandelocos's protests and gave Eliseu Guerra a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Bandelocos getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Eliseu Guerra hit a great ball. In the 25th minute Válter Varela shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iuri Viana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tiaguinho Baiano kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Bandelocos's zone, Décio Matorin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alberto Palmeira came out of the goal and Décio Matorin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Catugi FC getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Raimundo Torres hit a great ball. Richard Mota took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 31st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Iuri Viana. Catugi FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Alberto Palmeira made an important save on a dangerous shot by Beto Mangueira in the 34th minute. Arthur Soeiro's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 35thth minute, Alberto Palmeira skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After 43 minutes Bandelocos's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Décio Matorin who took care of the corner kick. Catugi FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bandelocos the free kick. In the 53rd minute, Décio Matorin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Walmyr Domingues sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Iuri Viana took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Válter Varela, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 65 minutes into the match, Ruy Dantas dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Iuri Viana, 0-2. With a little luck, Catugi FC's Iuri Viana got control of the ball when Basílio de Mendonça tried to sneak it across the goal line. Catugi FC's Iuri Viana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Walmyr Domingues in the 71st minute of play. The supporters of Bandelocos booed when Catugi FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabinho Teixeira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alberto Palmeira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Beto Mangueira's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. Iuri Viana made an important save on a dangerous shot by Basílio de Mendonça in the 90th minute. After 95 played minutes Catugi FC got a freekick which was hit by Arthur Soeiro. Although Catugi FC had been in control for most of the match, Bandelocos still came away with the win.
