When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Rodrigo Brito made a kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Grêmio Meia Praia's goalkeeper Oswaldo Fontes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jarbas Pombal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zé Augusto Moura got free with Oswaldo Fontes in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jarbas Pombal could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Oswaldo Fontes made a huge save. André Abraão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eriberto Maciel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ed Mundo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Oswaldo Fontes came out and tried to block the shot, but Ed Mundo slotted it home off the left post making it 0-7 in the 70th minute. In the 75th minute, Jarbas Pombal made a precise shot to the right of Oswaldo Fontes. Grêmio Meia Praia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-8.
