The corner led Flores da Cunha - RS's Adriano Araújo to fire away a dangerous shot which Pedro Luís Macedo despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Geovanni Pontes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Pedro Luís Macedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Flores da Cunha - RS booed when AC Korban was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elivélton Palmeira didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jairo de Sena in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pedro Luís Macedo saved AC Korban from getting behind. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nando Matos was the one to do the kick off. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ricardinho Moura prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jairo de Sena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Luís Macedo having to interfere.
