The corner went over the outstretched arms of S.M.O PAITA's goalie and right to Fachtna Duggan. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. S.M.O PAITA's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. When Benito Gudesteo came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the LOS INTIMOS DEL PERU fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benito Gudesteo couldn't finish the play. LOS INTIMOS DEL PERU's Fachtna Duggan got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. S.M.O PAITA's Lucas Junyent proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save S.M.O PAITA from getting a goal against them. After 24 minutes, Txordon Husarte mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the S.M.O PAITA and the LOS INTIMOS DEL PERU players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 25th match minute, S.M.O PAITA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Txordon Husarte to maneuver through the defense. S.M.O PAITA's Lucas Junyent played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fachtna Duggan in the 27th minute of play. Lucas Junyent made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Benito Gudesteo sent off a good shot on target. If Benito Gudesteo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match clock showed 38 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Isias Sodupe sped through LOS INTIMOS DEL PERU's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ronaldo Vilella. In the 46th play minute Benito Gudesteo came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Lucas Junyent. 2-1. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Isias Sodupe made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Benito Gudesteo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucas Junyent saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benito Gudesteo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lucas Junyent showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benito Gudesteo in the 62nd minute of the match. 62 minutes into the match, Benito Gudesteo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Lucas Junyent. S.M.O PAITA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Benito Gudesteo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. LOS INTIMOS DEL PERU's Iker Betzanos was substituted for Maule Bajo. Tiso Burbua hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Lucas Junyent made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silvério Macedo in the 74th minute of play. Silvério Macedo scored 4-1 in the 74th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lucas Junyent, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 78th minute, Felipillo Guipuzcoa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. S.M.O PAITA's Duarte Salles got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lucas Junyent made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felipillo Guipuzcoa in the 80th minute of play. 87 minutes into the match, S.M.O PAITA's goal looked a bit too open when Silvério Macedo came free, but Lucas Junyent reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. LOS INTIMOS DEL PERU were awarded a corner in the 89th minute after S.M.O PAITA's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Tiso Burbua took the corner. 92 minutes into the match, LOS INTIMOS DEL PERU's Silvério Macedo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lucas Junyent narrowly saved just below the crossbar. LOS INTIMOS DEL PERU's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
