The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 3 played minutes Deportivo Municipal got a freekick which was hit by Ciano Briz. The supporters of S.M.O PAITA booed when Deportivo Municipal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Celso Tejadillo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lucas Junyent didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Flavio Maestri went, in the 9th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Brion Valdespino kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. S.M.O PAITA's Lucas Junyent played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ciano Briz in the 15th minute of play. Flavio Maestri received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Lucas Junyent tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dabi Sodupe recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 30 minutes into the game, Ciano Briz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Lucas Junyent was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 0-3 became the score in the 32nd minute when Flavio Maestri elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. 37 minutes into the match, S.M.O PAITA's goal looked a bit too open when Ciano Briz came free, but Lucas Junyent reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The corner went over the outstretched arms of S.M.O PAITA's goalie and right to Ciano Briz. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. S.M.O PAITA's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Ratko Glavak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isias Sodupe in the 43rd minute of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Flavio Maestri to make the kick off. The supporters of S.M.O PAITA booed when Deportivo Municipal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zuri Serantes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Isias Sodupe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ratko Glavak having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Isias Sodupe in the 60th minute of play forced Deportivo Municipal's goalkeeper Ratko Glavak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Flavio Maestri blasted a shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lucas Junyent having to make a save. Flavio Maestri could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Lucas Junyent made a huge save. Flavio Maestri did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-4 to the left of a surprised Lucas Junyent 63 minutes into the match. In the 71st match minute, S.M.O PAITA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Birila Dias to maneuver through the defense. S.M.O PAITA's defense didn't have a chance, in the 72nd minute, when Flavio Maestri scored to the left of an out of position Lucas Junyent, making the score, 0-5. Lucas Junyent showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Flavio Maestri, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. S.M.O PAITA's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Flavio Maestri 81 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-6. Lucas Junyent was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Flavio Maestri showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-7 in the 84 minute of play. With a little luck, S.M.O PAITA's Lucas Junyent got control of the ball when Flavio Maestri tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 92nd minute of the match Deportivo Municipal got a corner. S.M.O PAITA's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Seguinus Ortega ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Seguinus Ortega almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but S.M.O PAITA's Lucas Junyent did a great save. A collision led to Deportivo Municipal getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Bartoli Olazaran hit a great ball. Deportivo Municipal's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
