Xabel Almiron fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcelo Quexada having to interfere. Cresitobalo Rilo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 24th minute Anton Randala shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacobo Autran saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcelo Quexada made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Gonzalo Benavente sent off a good shot on target. Jacobo Autran came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Cusco FC's Cresitobalo Rilo. But to his dismay, Cresitobalo Rilo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. The supporters of Cusco FC booed when Spor Las Huevas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erez Negrini didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half Cusco FC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cresitobalo Rilo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Karin Maestro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcelo Quexada having to interfere. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
