With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rosario Martel in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tartalo Delatorre saved Atlético Grau Piura from getting behind. In the 36th minute of the match, Billie Hoes sent away a good long shot that could have become a goal, but Calixto Inchaurdi showed an example of his skillful tending and made the save just under the crossbar. Rosario Martel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rosario Martel in the 40th minute of play forced Atlético Grau Piura's goalkeeper Tartalo Delatorre to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
