With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ederono Vilardell prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Tang Sha Xu might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Apolo Chica. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tang Sha Xu ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, La Vieja Guardia Jrs's Apolo Chica got control of the ball when Tang Sha Xu tried to sneak it across the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
