Spectators: 7297 (Terracing: 5474, Seating: 1678, VIP seats: 145) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Ramón Dionísio got the match started through his kick off. Jairo Moreira came out of the goal in the 3rd minute to try and stop a shot by Varginha Futebol Clube's Wilian Custódio. But to his dismay, Wilian Custódio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. If Artur Tinoco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Varginha Futebol Clube's Ramón Dionísio in the 11th minute got a chance for a shot 11th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Palmeirante AD's goalie prevented a goal. Palmeirante AD's Jairo Moreira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Palmeirante AD from getting a goal against them. Roger de Medeiros sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cauã Siqueira during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Cauã Siqueira hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Palmeirante AD's Artur Tinoco got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ramón Dionísio came free with the goalkeeper in the 25th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Jairo Moreira could save by the left post. Ramón Dionísio struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Jairo Moreira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Varginha Futebol Clube. Jairo Moreira made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ramón Dionísio in the 32nd minute. Jairo Moreira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicolas Saldanha, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Nicolas Saldanha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 37 minutes into the match, Geovânio Mendes dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jairo Moreira, 3-0. After some careless play in the Palmeirante AD defense, Dinei J.J. kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jairo Moreira. The Palmeirante AD fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jairo Moreira should have stopped the shot. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ademar Pinheiro made a kick off. Dinei J.J. sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Ramón Dionísio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Artur Tinoco got free with Samir Hennequin in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 65th match minute, Palmeirante AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roger de Medeiros to maneuver through the defense. Jairo Moreira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilian Custódio in the 73rd minute of play. In the 75th minute, Artur Tinoco ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Samir Hennequin was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. 79 minutes into the match, Varginha Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Samir Hennequin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Artur Tinoco. When Varginha Futebol Clube's Ramón Dionísio in the 82nd minute got a chance for a shot 82nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Palmeirante AD's goalie prevented a goal. When Ramón Dionísio came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Varginha Futebol Clube fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ramón Dionísio couldn't finish the play. In the 89th minute, Ramón Dionísio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Vinícius Neto charged in rather forcefully in the 92nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vinícius Neto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Varginha Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Vinícius Neto hit a great ball. There was no doubt that Varginha Futebol Clube were the better team. Varginha Futebol Clube's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
