The supporters of Greenpig booed when Atalho SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sandrinho Sanches didn't get a good kick on the ball. Atalho SS's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Claudinho de Azevedo 10 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. Naldo Reis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronaldo Eger in the 13th minute of play. Naldo Reis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cláudio Fontes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zé Pedro Senna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Abelardo Linares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 19th minute, Greenpig's Cláudio Fontes dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-0. Sandrinho Sanches hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Naldo Reis was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Márcio Passos. Naldo Reis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudinho de Azevedo in the 24th minute of the match. If Paulinho Aguiar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to Atalho SS getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Sandrinho Sanches hit a great ball. Claudinei Fantini who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 27thth minute tested the skills of Naldo Reis when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Despite this Abelardo Linares quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Paulinho Aguiar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Claudinho de Azevedo to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st match minute, Atalho SS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Baltazar Quirino to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Atalho SS defense, Cláudio Fontes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Naldo Reis. The Atalho SS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Naldo Reis should have stopped the shot. After 59 minutes, Ronaldo Eger mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Greenpig and the Atalho SS players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Atalho SS booed when Greenpig was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ronaldo Eger didn't get a good kick on the ball. Greenpig's Abelardo Linares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulinho Aguiar in the 60th minute of play. Abelardo Linares made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Zé Pedro Senna sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manoel Mendes in the 75th minute of play forced Greenpig's goalkeeper Abelardo Linares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Naldo Reis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claudinei Fantini in the 81st minute of play. Charles Freitas took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 82nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Naldo Reis. Atalho SS's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Claudinei Fantini kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Abelardo Linares didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Zé Pedro Senna went, in the 86th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Manoel Mendes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Atalho SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Manoel Mendes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Abelardo Linares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Paulinho Aguiar blasted a shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Abelardo Linares having to make a save. 96 minutes into the game, Atalho SS's Zé Pedro Senna nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Abelardo Linares made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-3. Greenpig succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Atalho SS had controlled the match.
