An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudinho de Azevedo in the 6th minute of play forced Centauros's goalkeeper Miguel Barbosa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 8th minute Claudinho de Azevedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miguel Barbosa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Claudinei Fantini might have been able to make a better finish in the 11th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Miguel Barbosa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Claudinei Fantini ran back to his position shaking his head. When Claudinei Fantini came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Greenpig fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Claudinei Fantini couldn't finish the play. Claudinei Fantini sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alan Meireles during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Miguel Barbosa made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Claudinei Fantini sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 25 minutes, Horácio Santana managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Centauros's supporters crossed their fingers, but Horácio Santana was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Centauros getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Wilian Mazza hit a great ball. The Greenpig fans' excitement grew in the 31st match minute when Greenpig's Claudinho de Azevedo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Claudinho de Azevedo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Miguel Barbosa read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. Claudinei Fantini was extremely unlucky when he, in the 46th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Diamantino Mazza was the one to do the kick off. 58 minutes into the match, Centauros's goal looked a bit too open when Claudinho de Azevedo came free, but Miguel Barbosa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Naldo Xavier fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Greenpig's protests and gave Naldo Xavier a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Greenpig's Naldo Xavier got a free kick in the 71st minute. Wilian Mazza, 71 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. If Claudinho de Azevedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Miguel Barbosa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Claudinho de Azevedo's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Claudinho de Azevedo in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Miguel Barbosa saved Centauros from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Claudinei Fantini's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Miguel Barbosa was relentless in the 83rd minute of the game. 84 minutes into the match, Claudinho de Azevedo notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Centauros's Miguel Barbosa. Miguel Barbosa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Claudinei Fantini fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miguel Barbosa having to interfere. Cláudio Fontes's late challenge caught a Centauros's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cláudio Fontes helped the player get up and apologised. Cláudio Fontes hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Greenpig had won after a very even match.
