Ronaldo Duarte hit a great ball. If Bebeto Tande had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 42nd minute, Bebeto Tande hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bebeto Tande had several of the Ibotirama FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 45 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-1 score and a disappointed Elano Salles as he didn't even see the shot coming. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bebeto Tande during the 48th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Bebeto Tande hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kauã Guerra was the one to do the kick off. Dudu Torres made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leonardo Severo in the 55th minute. If Gerson Mazza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. Kauã Guerra showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. Dudu Torres made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kauã Guerra in the 85th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Serial Killers EC's zone, Kauã Guerra stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dudu Torres came out of the goal and Kauã Guerra tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 90th minute of the match Elivélton Ribeiro sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Elano Salles skillfully saved the ball. Elano Salles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Alberto Saldanha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The long shot by Ronaldo Duarte in the 97th minute really tested Dudu Torres's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal.
