The supporters of Chelsea booed when Picada was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. The tension between the Chelsea and the Picada players grew even worse after the yellow card. Lukasz Furgal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adriano Gaspar in the 20th minute of the match. Picada's Toninho Arruda got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Cauan Cordeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luciano Donato received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Lukasz Furgal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luciano Donato fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lukasz Furgal having to interfere. When Tarcisio Paes was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 38 minutes had been played. After a rather tough play, Picada's Cesinha Borges got a free kick in the 41st minute. Artur Paranaense kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. If Toninho Arruda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Cauan Cordeiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 48th minute of the match, but Lukasz Furgal made a huge save. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Toninho Arruda made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Donato Cunha in the 52nd minute of play forced Chelsea's goalkeeper Lukasz Furgal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Toninho Arruda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lukasz Furgal having to interfere. In the 55th minute, Artur Paranaense reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Paulão Novaes. The goal made the score 0-3. After 59 played minutes Chelsea got a freekick which was hit by Enrique Sampaio. Toninho Arruda recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gilmar Catarinense got free with Paulão Novaes in the 77th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Lukasz Furgal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luciano Donato in the 80th minute of play. If Luciano Donato had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luciano Donato in the 83rd minute of play forced Chelsea's goalkeeper Lukasz Furgal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
