Paulo Mazza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Nilson de Castro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Flamengo CRF's supporters rose to their feet, but Nilson de Castro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jaime Vaz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Laerte Paes, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. MAXiminos's Mateus Tavares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aloísio da Mata in the 58th minute of play. Aloísio da Mata took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mateus Tavares. Mateus Tavares dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Mateus Tavares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nilson de Castro in the 66th minute of play. Nilson de Castro struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Mateus Tavares didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Flamengo CRF. Laerte Paes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jaime Vaz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 71st minute of play. Mateus Tavares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luiz Eduardo Baptista in the 75th minute of play. Nilson de Castro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mateus Tavares having to interfere. After 84 minutes, Aloísio da Mata made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. MAXiminos's Mateus Tavares tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Flamengo CRF getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Luiz Eduardo Baptista hit a great ball. Nilson de Castro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Mateus Tavares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in MAXiminos's zone, Aloísio da Mata stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mateus Tavares came out of the goal and Aloísio da Mata tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Flamengo CRF's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
