Rianopolis
Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Nilson de Castro kicked off to start the match. A collision led to Rianopolis getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Nico Queiroz hit a great ball. Aloísio da Mata received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Claudinei Quirino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Nilson de Castro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 16 minutes, Giuseppe Madureira made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Flamengo CRF's Jaime Vaz tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Jaime Vaz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Giuseppe Madureira in the 23rd minute of play. After 25 minutes, Luiz Eduardo Baptista mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Flamengo CRF and the Rianopolis players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 26th minute of the match Richard Trevisan shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jaime Vaz showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 28th minute, Carlos Eduardo Recife fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Jaime Vaz, passed just outside the right post. Jaime Vaz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Giuseppe Madureira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 35th minute, Cícero Pires got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Carlos Eduardo Recife fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jaime Vaz having to interfere. After 40 played minutes, Flamengo CRF's Valdemar de Sousa shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Claudinei Quirino came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Flamengo CRF reached it. 44 minutes in the game, Giuseppe Madureira dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Carlos Eduardo Recife recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when Giuseppe Madureira made the kick off in the second half. Jaime Vaz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Giuseppe Madureira in the 52nd minute of the match. 53 minutes into the game, Carlos Eduardo Recife cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Jaime Vaz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some careless play in the Flamengo CRF defense, Giuseppe Madureira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jaime Vaz. The Flamengo CRF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jaime Vaz should have stopped the shot. In the 58th minute, Diogo Trancoso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 63 minutes into the game, Rianopolis's Carlos Eduardo Recife nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jaime Vaz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. Claudinei Quirino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nilson de Castro, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. After 79th play minutes Giuseppe Madureira shot 5-0, a short shot which went by Jaime Vaz and just under the crossbar into goal. After 85 minutes of play, Rianopolis's Giuseppe Madureira made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jaime Vaz was left in no man's land by his defense there! Rianopolis's Carlos Eduardo Recife got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Giuseppe Madureira scored 7-0 in the 92nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jaime Vaz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 95 minutes into the game, Richard Trevisan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rianopolis's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Flamengo CRF the free kick. Rianopolis's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
