Luiz Eduardo Baptista kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Helmet HC's Abel Correia tried to score from far away in the 10th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Jairo Falcão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aloísio da Mata, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Nilson de Castro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jairo Falcão having to interfere. A hard shot 15 in the game by Aloísio da Mata from a close distance when the talented Jairo Falcão managed to make a qualified save. Helmet HC's players were relieved. In the 23rd minute Nilson de Castro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jairo Falcão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gualter Leão during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 24th minute, Gualter Leão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ismael Mazza hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. 27 minutes into the match, Helmet HC's goal looked a bit too open when Nilson de Castro came free, but Jairo Falcão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Helmet HC's Jairo Falcão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nilson de Castro in the 29th minute of play. Flamengo CRF's Aloísio da Mata got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nilson de Castro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Helmet HC's zone, Nilson de Castro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jairo Falcão came out of the goal and Nilson de Castro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match clock showed 54 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Nilson de Castro sped through Helmet HC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jairo Falcão. 58 minutes into the match, Aloísio da Mata had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jairo Falcão. Helmet HC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Aloísio da Mata was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Aloísio da Mata recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 64 minutes of play, Flamengo CRF's Nilson de Castro made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jairo Falcão was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Flamengo CRF's Jarbas Velasco got a free kick in the 66th minute. Jaime Vaz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Manfredo Porto, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. The supporters of Helmet HC booed when Flamengo CRF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jarbas Velasco didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aloísio da Mata fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jairo Falcão having to interfere. In the 81st minute Nilson de Castro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jairo Falcão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee ended the match the Flamengo CRF players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
