When Adriano Gaspar came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Picada fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adriano Gaspar couldn't finish the play. Zé Pedro Cerezo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eusébio de Godoi having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marco Mattos in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Paulão Novaes saved Picada from getting behind. A collision led to Holiod FC getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Perivaldo Vieira hit a great ball. In the 22nd minute, Picada's Luciano Donato ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Eusébio de Godoi. Eusébio de Godoi yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Eusébio de Godoi made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Toninho Arruda sent off a good shot on target. Luciano Donato sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Paulão Novaes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from João Paulo Baiano, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. In the 34th minute, Samuca Tasso ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Paulão Novaes was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Perivaldo Vieira's late challenge caught a Picada's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The Holiod FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. If Toninho Arruda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 47th minute, Luciano Donato got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Toninho Arruda made a kick off. If Toninho Arruda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Cauan Cordeiro struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Eusébio de Godoi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Picada. Paulão Novaes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from João Paulo Baiano, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. The supporters of Picada booed when Holiod FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gugu Bueno didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Holiod FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eusébio de Godoi should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Picada getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Picada's Toninho Arruda got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee gave Picada a penalty, 95 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Adriano Gaspar, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Holiod FC's Eusébio de Godoi. 4-2.
