C.'s Geraldo Oliveira couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for SELETIMÃO. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Tomás Quadros managed to get in a good position for a shot. Flamengo de Caxias F. C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Tomás Quadros was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sydney Alvarenga breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Norberto Paes hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Luís Fernando Macedo made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Rubinho Mendonça sent off a good shot on target. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Silvério Schmidt in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luís Fernando Macedo saved Flamengo de Caxias F. C. from getting behind. Luís Fernando Macedo came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by SELETIMÃO's Rubinho Mendonça. But to his dismay, Rubinho Mendonça quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Rubinho Mendonça struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Luís Fernando Macedo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SELETIMÃO. After 70 minutes, Fernandinho Dracena made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. SELETIMÃO's Sydney Alvarenga tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. With a little luck, SELETIMÃO's Sydney Alvarenga got control of the ball when Tomás Quadros tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Rubinho Mendonça came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the SELETIMÃO fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rubinho Mendonça couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Flamengo de Caxias F. C. getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Alfredinho Matorin hit a great ball. Silvério Schmidt took the ball and in the 84 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Luís Fernando Macedo. Luís Fernando Macedo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. If Tomás Quadros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. SELETIMÃO's Sydney Alvarenga proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save SELETIMÃO from getting a goal against them. 99 minutes into the match, Flamengo de Caxias F. C.'s Fernandinho Dracena sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sydney Alvarenga narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
