An unexpectedly hard shot by David Torres in the 32nd minute of play forced CN Marcilio Dias's goalkeeper Jorginho da Cunha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Adhemar Nunes in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jefferson Machado saved 4 E V E R T O N from getting behind. Jorginho da Cunha was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Adhemar Nunes came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the CN Marcilio Dias fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adhemar Nunes couldn't finish the play. Jefferson Machado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adhemar Nunes in the 89th minute of play. In the 91st minute, Adhemar Nunes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Adhemar Nunes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fellipe Rezende might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jefferson Machado. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fellipe Rezende ran back to his position shaking his head. The 4 E V E R T O N players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
