When Vodka Diamond's Ruy Peixoto in 21 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Clóvis Motta guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Clóvis Motta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ruy Peixoto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 43rdth minute of the game Ruy Peixoto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Independência Futebol's Clóvis Motta was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a little luck, Vodka Diamond's Marcel Furlan got control of the ball when Lino de Toledo tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Vodka Diamond getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Luizão Novaes hit a great ball. After the first half Vodka Diamond were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

52 minutes in the game, Luizão Novaes fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Clóvis Motta having to interfere. In the 56th minute Oscar Cardozo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcel Furlan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ruy Peixoto struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Clóvis Motta didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vodka Diamond. The audience thought a goal was coming when Claudinho Breckenfeld got free with Clóvis Motta in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 90 played minutes Independência Futebol got a freekick which was hit by Mário Cardoso. In the 91stth minute of the game Ruy Peixoto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Independência Futebol's Clóvis Motta was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 93rd minute, Luizão Novaes fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Clóvis Motta, passed just outside the right post. The audience was convinced that Ruy Peixoto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Clóvis Motta was relentless in the 94th minute of the game. The Independência Futebol fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Vodka Diamond were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
