Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Passaros's Adelino Zanette started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Adelino Zanette sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Humberto Valadares in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rodriguinho Fonseca prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Humberto Valadares recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Humberto Valadares took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rodriguinho Fonseca. Rodriguinho Fonseca dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 30th match minute, Passaros was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Genílson de Carvalho to maneuver through the defense. Passaros's Mário Vieira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Passaros from getting a goal against them. If Faustão Cabral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 42 minutes, Felipe Secco mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Passaros and the Acaiaca AD players grew even worse after the yellow card. Acaiaca AD's Ciro Monteiro got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Faustão Cabral was the one to do the kick off. Ciro Monteiro hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Acaiaca AD's Rodriguinho Fonseca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adelino Zanette in the 57th minute of play. A collision led to Acaiaca AD getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Emílio Prestes hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Acaiaca AD's zone, Humberto Valadares stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rodriguinho Fonseca came out of the goal and Humberto Valadares tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 70 minutes into the match, Genílson de Carvalho had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rodriguinho Fonseca. Acaiaca AD's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Genílson de Carvalho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adelino Zanette in the 76th minute of play forced Acaiaca AD's goalkeeper Rodriguinho Fonseca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Adelino Zanette sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcelinho de Godoi in the 86th minute of play forced Passaros's goalkeeper Mário Vieira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 89th match minute, Passaros was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rafinha Dionísio to maneuver through the defense. In the 93rd minute, Marcelinho de Godoi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Humberto Valadares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adelino Zanette received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Rodriguinho Fonseca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Passaros supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Passaros would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
