Seating: 1656, VIP seats: 100) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Faustão Cabral got the match started through his kick off. With a little luck, Acaiaca AD's Rodriguinho Fonseca got control of the ball when Maurício Cardozo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Acaiaca AD's Faustão Cabral got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 11 played minutes Iaciara got a freekick which was hit by Sílvio Mendes. Richard Rezende sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jano Esteves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcelinho de Godoi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rodriguinho Fonseca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Richard Rezende in the 17th minute of the match. With a little luck, Acaiaca AD's Rodriguinho Fonseca got control of the ball when Maurício Cardozo tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 30th minute, Maurício Cardozo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rodriguinho Fonseca was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Richard Rezende fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodriguinho Fonseca having to interfere. When Richard Rezende came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Iaciara fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Richard Rezende couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Maurício Cardozo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Iaciara's supporters rose to their feet, but Maurício Cardozo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rodriguinho Fonseca breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Iaciara booed when Acaiaca AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Faustão Cabral didn't get a good kick on the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Maurício Cardozo to make the kick off. In the 51st minute Richard Rezende shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodriguinho Fonseca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 52 played minutes Acaiaca AD got a freekick which was hit by Faustão Cabral. After 56th play minutes Maurício Cardozo shot 3-0, a short shot which went by Rodriguinho Fonseca and just under the crossbar into goal. Bruno Cunha's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jano Esteves read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Richard Rezende in the 62nd minute of play forced Acaiaca AD's goalkeeper Rodriguinho Fonseca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcelinho de Godoi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Jano Esteves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jano Esteves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcelinho de Godoi, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. The audience was convinced that Richard Rezende's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rodriguinho Fonseca was relentless in the 72nd minute of the game. A collision led to Iaciara getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Sílvio Mendes hit a great ball. In the 77th minute, Marcelinho de Godoi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Acaiaca AD fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. After 80 played minutes Acaiaca AD got a freekick which was hit by Marcelinho de Godoi. Maurício Cardozo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 85 minutes of play, Iaciara's Maurício Cardozo made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rodriguinho Fonseca was left in no man's land by his defense there! Rodriguinho Fonseca didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Richard Rezende went, in the 88th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-1 was the resulting score. Jano Esteves made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Bruno Cunha sent off a good shot on target. Zé Alves hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, Acaiaca AD's Ciro Monteiro tried to score from far away in the 96th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Iaciara's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
