Seating: 1660, VIP seats: 100) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Zé Pedro Godoi kicked off to start the match. 4 minutes into the match, Japuim EC's goalkeeper Miguel Arósio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Maurício Cardozo. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zé Pedro Godoi in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jano Esteves saved Iaciara from getting behind. Miguel Arósio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Maurício Cardozo in the 14th minute. Maurício Cardozo in the 18thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Miguel Arósio, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After 19 played minutes Japuim EC got a freekick which was hit by Zé Pedro Godoi. Miguel Arósio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Richard Rezende, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Miguel Arósio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Richard Rezende, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zé Pedro Godoi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Kiko Matos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Japuim EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Kiko Matos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jano Esteves breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Richard Rezende received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Miguel Arósio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Miguel Arósio was a little too slow when Richard Rezende got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 39th minute. The score was now 1-0. Maurício Cardozo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Miguel Arósio having to make a save. Maurício Cardozo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 47th minute, Edinho Cardozo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Maurício Cardozo struck a weak shot in the 48th minute. Miguel Arósio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Iaciara.
The wind increased when Richard Rezende made the kick off in the second half. Edinho Cardozo scored 1-1 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jano Esteves, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Maurício Cardozo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Miguel Arósio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Iaciara's Maurício Cardozo in the 63rd minute got a chance for a shot 63rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Edinho Cardozo hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. 70 minutes into the match, Maurício Cardozo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Miguel Arósio. Japuim EC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Maurício Cardozo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. When Maurício Cardozo came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Iaciara fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maurício Cardozo couldn't finish the play. In the 77th minute Iaciara were awarded a corner. Germano Moraes went to the cornerflag to take it. Sílvio Mendes was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Kiko Matos did an outstanding performance 80 minutes into the match, when he by himself got past the opposing team's defense and with a quick scored 2-2 to the right of an irritated Jano Esteves in the goal. Ivo Tavares lost his temper 85 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 84th minute of the game. One of Japuim EC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Iaciara:s goal. Japuim EC:s Miguel Arósio showed great skill when he stopped Germano Moraes:s penalty. If Kauan Negri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Miguel Arósio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maurício Cardozo in the 95th minute of play. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
