With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rodriguinho Fonseca prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 12th minute, Gil Lopez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gil Lopez struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Rodriguinho Fonseca didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Areinhas. The supporters of Acaiaca AD booed when Areinhas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tião de Medeiros didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 20 minutes, Gil Lopez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Areinhas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gil Lopez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 23 played minutes Acaiaca AD got a freekick which was hit by Téo Arce. Acaiaca AD's Rodriguinho Fonseca proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Acaiaca AD from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Acaiaca AD getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Faustão Cabral hit a great ball. Faustão Cabral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpected shot in the 32nd minute by Tião de Medeiros got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. With a little luck, Acaiaca AD's Rodriguinho Fonseca got control of the ball when Gil Lopez tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rodriguinho Fonseca made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gil Lopez in the 42nd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Willian Breckenfeld during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
