Spectators: 7216 (Terracing: 5413, Seating: 1660, VIP seats: 143) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Fellipe Quintal kicked off to start the match. C.A.Universidad dos Raios's Falcão Pereira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sílvio Mendes in the 3rd minute of play. A collision led to Iaciara getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Sílvio Mendes hit a great ball. Falcão Pereira came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by Iaciara's Richard Rezende. But to his dismay, Richard Rezende quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 10th minute, Leandro Bittencourt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fellipe Quintal charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fellipe Quintal the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Fellipe Quintal kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Fellipe Quintal struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Jano Esteves didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for C.A.Universidad dos Raios. Falcão Pereira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maurício Cardozo in the 23rd minute of play. When Maurício Cardozo fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Iaciara's protests and gave Maurício Cardozo a yellow card for diving instead. The C.A.Universidad dos Raios players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Iaciara were winning 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Maurício Cardozo made a kick off. Richard Rezende sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 64th minute, Leandro Bittencourt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The corner led Iaciara's Germano Moraes to fire away a dangerous shot which Falcão Pereira despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 69th minute, Maurício Cardozo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A hard shot 72 in the game by Maurício Cardozo from a close distance when the talented Falcão Pereira managed to make a qualified save. C.A.Universidad dos Raios's players were relieved. Richard Rezende received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Falcão Pereira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Maurício Cardozo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 76thth minute tested the skills of Falcão Pereira when he managed to save the team from getting behind. With a little luck, C.A.Universidad dos Raios's Falcão Pereira got control of the ball when Maurício Cardozo tried to sneak it across the goal line. C.A.Universidad dos Raios's Falcão Pereira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save C.A.Universidad dos Raios from getting a goal against them. In the 83rd minute the ball was on its way in behind C.A.Universidad dos Raios's goalkeeper Falcão Pereira, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Iaciara booed when C.A.Universidad dos Raios was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucas Fernandez didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in C.A.Universidad dos Raios's zone, Richard Rezende stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Falcão Pereira came out of the goal and Richard Rezende tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Richard Rezende had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Iaciara's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
