The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Hortêncio Amorim stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rogério da Mata's shot from short distance in the 4th minute. Hortêncio Amorim didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rogério da Mata went, in the 6th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Diogo de Moraes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Remo Pernambucano's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. 12 minutes into the match, Sou Vasco Animal FC's goal looked a bit too open when Remo Pernambucano came free, but Diogo de Moraes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Frédson Viana got free with Diogo de Moraes in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 18 minutes into the match, Sou Vasco Animal FC's goal looked a bit too open when Remo Pernambucano came free, but Diogo de Moraes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luiz Guilherme Vasconcelos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Remo Pernambucano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Sou Vasco Animal FC's zone, Remo Pernambucano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Diogo de Moraes came out of the goal and Remo Pernambucano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Cagada Ensaiada FC getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Fabrício Lucas hit a great ball. 43 minutes into the match, Frédson Viana had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Diogo de Moraes. Sou Vasco Animal FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Frédson Viana was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. After 47 played minutes Sou Vasco Animal FC got a freekick which was hit by Alberto Toledo. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Diogo de Moraes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Remo Pernambucano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 62 minutes, Frédson Viana made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Sou Vasco Animal FC's Diogo de Moraes tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Sou Vasco Animal FC booed when Cagada Ensaiada FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hamílton Arruda didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 75th minute, Júnior Martins hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Diogo de Moraes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frédson Viana, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Diogo de Moraes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frédson Viana in the 80th minute of the match. Iuri Albuquerque recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Cagada Ensaiada FC's Hortêncio Amorim got control of the ball when Iuri Albuquerque tried to sneak it across the goal line. Iuri Albuquerque came free with the goalkeeper in the 88th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Hortêncio Amorim could save by the left post. Iuri Albuquerque could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Hortêncio Amorim made a huge save. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Cagada Ensaiada FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Sou Vasco Animal FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
