After 5 played minutes Maloca got a freekick which was hit by Virgílio Madureira. In the 11th match minute, Maloca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luan Veloz to maneuver through the defense. After 14 played minutes Maloca got a freekick which was hit by Alfredo Dantas. Jonas Jauregui didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jairo Tepedino went, in the 15th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. César Meirelles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 25 minutes into the match, Catesporo AD's goal looked a bit too open when Felippe Miranda came free, but César Meirelles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Gonçalo Luz fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Catesporo AD's protests and gave Gonçalo Luz a yellow card for diving instead. After 34 played minutes Maloca got a freekick which was hit by Diogo Rodrigues. Maloca's Jonas Jauregui played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jairo Tepedino in the 35th minute of play. After 36 played minutes Maloca got a freekick which was hit by Jean Viana. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.
The wind increased when Luan Veloz made the kick off in the second half. Cássio Paraibano kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Alfredo Dantas took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 54th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for César Meirelles. Catesporo AD's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Jairo Tepedino kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Catesporo AD's zone, Felippe Miranda stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. César Meirelles came out of the goal and Felippe Miranda tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee felt a red card was in order, 71 minutes into the game, when Jean Viana put in a rough tackle. Jean Viana hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. In the 73rd minute of the match Sydney Teixeira sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jonas Jauregui skillfully saved the ball. Gonçalo Luz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonas Jauregui read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. A collision led to Maloca getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Felippe Miranda hit a great ball. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene.
