Seating: 1734, VIP seats: 100) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Moisés Martins took the kick off in the first half of the match. 6 minutes into the game, Chico Godoi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Valdir Damião was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Moisés Martins received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Valdir Damião tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zé de Senna in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Valdir Damião prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Moisés Martins scored 0-2 in the 14th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Valdir Damião, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Moisés Martins recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Chico Godoi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valdir Damião having to interfere. Valdir Damião took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Percival Teixeira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dagoberto Penha made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Nestor Maia sent off a good shot on target. Percival Teixeira took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Valdir Damião. Valdir Damião dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. The supporters of EC Calango booed when Leão da Serra FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maurinho Oliveira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Percival Teixeira took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Valdir Damião. Valdir Damião dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Valdir Damião came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by EC Calango's Moisés Martins. But to his dismay, Moisés Martins quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. After 46th play minutes Moisés Martins shot 0-7, a short shot which went by Valdir Damião and just under the crossbar into goal. Disappointed in the 0-7 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nestor Maia was the one to do the kick off. Serafim Marques scored 1-7 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dagoberto Penha, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Gonçalo Neiva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valdir Damião having to interfere. EC Calango's Moisés Martins got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 58th match minute, Leão da Serra FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antônio Carlos Lara to maneuver through the defense. After 60 minutes of play, EC Calango's Moisés Martins made it 1-8 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Valdir Damião was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience was convinced that Moisés Martins's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Valdir Damião was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. Leão da Serra FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 65th minute, when Moisés Martins scored to the left of an out of position Valdir Damião, making the score, 1-9. Dagoberto Penha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Serafim Marques, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. In the 77th minute, Zé de Senna left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The EC Calango fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-10. 80 minutes into the game, Percival Teixeira cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-11. Valdir Damião was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of EC Calango booed when Leão da Serra FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anselmo Salgado didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to EC Calango getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Serginho Machado hit a great ball. In the 87th minute, Naldo Trevisan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 88 played minutes, Leão da Serra FC's Maurinho Oliveira shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Dagoberto Penha came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Leão da Serra FC reached it. In the 90th minute, Serafim Marques ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dagoberto Penha was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-11. When Moisés Martins came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the EC Calango fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Moisés Martins couldn't finish the play. In the 97th minute, Nestor Maia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the final whistle sounded EC Calango left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Leão da Serra FC.
