Dagoberto Penha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Paulo Quadros in the 9th minute of the match. In the 14th minute Luís Paulo Quadros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dagoberto Penha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Angelo Paranaense kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Nova Erechim - FSCMZ's zone, Gonçalo Neiva stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. João Pedro de Castro came out of the goal and Gonçalo Neiva tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. EC Calango's Dagoberto Penha proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save EC Calango from getting a goal against them. In the 25th minute Zé de Senna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Pedro de Castro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 26 minutes into the game, EC Calango's Percival Teixeira nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. João Pedro de Castro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 32nd minute, Moisés Martins left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The EC Calango fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Percival Teixeira scored 0-3 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of João Pedro de Castro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 40 minutes into the match, Serginho Machado had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of João Pedro de Castro. Nova Erechim - FSCMZ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Serginho Machado was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. After having played for 45 minutes, Percival Teixeira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. EC Calango's supporters crossed their fingers, but Percival Teixeira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. João Pedro de Castro came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by EC Calango's Moisés Martins. But to his dismay, Moisés Martins quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5.

João Pedro de Castro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chico Godoi, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. João Pedro de Castro was out of position in the 57 minute of play, and Moisés Martins capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Moisés Martins really showed his touch with that goal: 0-6. 62 minutes into the match, Nova Erechim - FSCMZ's goalkeeper João Pedro de Castro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zé de Senna. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Paulo Quadros in the 65th minute of play forced EC Calango's goalkeeper Dagoberto Penha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to EC Calango getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Gonçalo Neiva hit a great ball. In the 70th minute, Nova Erechim - FSCMZ's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Moisés Martins fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 72ndth minute of the game Moisés Martins who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Nova Erechim - FSCMZ's João Pedro de Castro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 72nd match minute, Nova Erechim - FSCMZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zézinho Machado to maneuver through the defense. Angelo Paranaense kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Moisés Martins received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. João Pedro de Castro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Percival Teixeira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Percival Teixeira's late challenge caught a Nova Erechim - FSCMZ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Percival Teixeira helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, EC Calango's Percival Teixeira got a free kick in the 94th minute. Dagoberto Penha stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Percival Campidelis's shot from short distance in the 95th minute. 96 minutes into the match, Nova Erechim - FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Moisés Martins came free, but João Pedro de Castro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the final whistle sounded EC Calango left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Nova Erechim - FSCMZ.
