Aníbal Zonta was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Eliseu Cordeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Ibirarema defense, Chiquinho Chaves kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aníbal Zonta. The Ibirarema fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aníbal Zonta should have stopped the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-7 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After 92 minutes, Chiquinho Chaves made it 0-11 with a short kick to the right side. Ibirarema's Aníbal Zonta tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Ibirarema's Aníbal Zonta proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save Ibirarema from getting a goal against them. ViraLataCaramelo U18's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
