The referee ignored Oficial American Club's protests and gave Nestor de Alcântara a yellow card for diving instead. In the 41st minute, Nestor de Alcântara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Conrado de Salles made an important save on a dangerous shot by Telmo Reis in the 44th minute.
