In the 5th minute Claudinei Santos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Osvaldo Leal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 9 minutes into the game, Claudinei Santos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. After 24 minutes of play, Roldao's Claudinei Santos made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Osvaldo Leal was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 35th minute, Claudinei Santos reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Osvaldo Leal. The goal made the score 4-0. Empate Esporte Clube's Osvaldo Leal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Empate Esporte Clube from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Roldao's Remo Nunes got a free kick in the 39th minute. Carlos Augusto Dracena didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Carlos Alberto Vargas went, in the 43rd minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. Osvaldo Leal came out of the goal in the 48th minute to try and stop a shot by Roldao's Claudinei Santos. But to his dismay, Claudinei Santos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-1. Af the end of the first half the score was 5-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Matheus Lopes was the one to do the kick off. Osvaldo Leal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudinei Santos, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Roldao's zone, Matheus Lopes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carlos Augusto Dracena came out of the goal and Matheus Lopes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 58 minutes into the game, Carlos Alberto Vargas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Empate Esporte Clube's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Roldao the free kick. In the 58th match minute, Empate Esporte Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Alberto Vargas to maneuver through the defense. Carlos Augusto Dracena took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kauan Gaúcho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Osvaldo Leal came out of the goal and Frank Brodel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Roldao's Carlos Augusto Dracena proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Roldao from getting a goal against them. Kauan Gaúcho's late challenge caught a Roldao's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kauan Gaúcho helped the player get up and apologised. Kauan Gaúcho kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Frank Brodel struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Osvaldo Leal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Roldao. Yan Berger kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. The supporters of Roldao booed when Empate Esporte Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jânio Paraibano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Empate Esporte Clube's Osvaldo Leal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudinei Santos in the 93rd minute of play. Roldao were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Empate Esporte Clube for a fine match.
