Tony Angelsø could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Nono Contreras made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ronaldinho Romero got free with Nono Contreras in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Caco Secco's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Guga Tavares read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 80th minute of play. In the 89th minute of the match, Caco Secco tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Guga Tavares saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Ronaldinho Romero hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. The supporters of Mexilhão F. C. booed when Destroyers F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Haroldo Massa didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 95th minute of the match Pedrão Mello shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nono Contreras showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Destroyers F.C.'s supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
