Dênis Prestes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a defensive mix-up in Acarahu EC's zone, Szymon Dziewulski stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dênis Prestes came out of the goal and Szymon Dziewulski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hélio Damião fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Crescencio Veleña having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hélio Damião got free with Crescencio Veleña in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thanks to some nice moves Hélio Damião could shoot a difficult shot in the 29th minute, which Crescencio Veleña however easily saved by the left post. 33 minutes into the match, Acarahu EC's goal looked a bit too open when Hugo Messias came free, but Dênis Prestes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Hugo Messias's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dênis Prestes was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. In the 37th minute Szymon Dziewulski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dênis Prestes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Crescencio Veleña made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Hélio Damião sent off a good shot on target. The referee showed Szymon Dziewulski the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hélio Damião in the 93rd minute of play forced Vasco Lima's goalkeeper Crescencio Veleña to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Vasco Lima had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
