Riograndense FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gabriel Marinho was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. Guto Paes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yuri Meira having to interfere. In the 24th minute, Flávio Dante hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 25 minutes into the match, Riograndense FC's goal looked a bit too open when Aníbal Berger came free, but Yuri Meira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 27th minute, Mateus Paulista ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Yuri Meira was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. Yuri Meira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gabriel Marinho in the 29th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Riograndense FC's zone, João Pedro Mangueira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Yuri Meira came out of the goal and João Pedro Mangueira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 33rd minute Mateus Paulista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yuri Meira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 37 minutes into the match, Guto Paes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Yuri Meira. Hyrol MzFC's Gabriel Marinho got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gabriel Marinho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Riograndense FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Hyrol MzFC were winning 0-6.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Erivaldo Paulista stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Hyrol MzFC's Mateus Paulista got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Riograndense FC's Yuri Meira got control of the ball when Gabriel Marinho tried to sneak it across the goal line. 62 minutes into the match, Riograndense FC's goal looked a bit too open when Guto Paes came free, but Yuri Meira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joel Romero recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 65th minute, Gabriel Marinho left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hyrol MzFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-7. In the 68th minute, João Pedro Mangueira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zé Paulo da Fonseca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Fiori Matos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gabriel Marinho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Yuri Meira made a huge save. Yuri Meira made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Gabriel Marinho sent off a good shot on target. Fiori Matos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sílvio Luiz Goiano in the 81st minute of the match. Hyrol MzFC's Fiori Matos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Romero in the 86th minute of play. 89 minutes into the match, Riograndense FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gabriel Marinho came free, but Yuri Meira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 90th minute, Ernani Mesquita hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Anderson Trigo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Hyrol MzFC's zone, Michel Sergipano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fiori Matos came out of the goal and Michel Sergipano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match was over Hyrol MzFC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Riograndense FC throughout the match.
