After having played for 4 minutes, João Carlos Mesquita managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cospe-Fogo-Pelasventa's supporters crossed their fingers, but João Carlos Mesquita was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 12th minute, Cospe-Fogo-Pelasventa's Thibault Delanoë ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Toninho de Salles. Toninho de Salles yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. After a rather tough play, Cospe-Fogo-Pelasventa's João Carlos Mesquita got a free kick in the 16th minute. Meng Yu Hui took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jarbas Alcântara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sal Darby blasted a shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Toninho de Salles having to make a save. After a rather tough play, Guarulhos's Caetano Mendes got a free kick in the 27th minute. In the 28th minute Flavien Deregnaucourt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Toninho de Salles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If João Carlos Mesquita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thibault Delanoë received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Toninho de Salles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sal Darby sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Guarulhos's goalkeeper Toninho de Salles, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 41st minute of the match Joélson Massa sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Toninho de Salles skillfully saved the ball. After 42 played minutes Guarulhos got a freekick which was hit by Caetano Mendes. Sal Darby received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Toninho de Salles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Toninho de Salles was out of position in the 48 minute of play, and Sal Darby capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Sal Darby really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fabinho de Mendonça made a kick off. When Cospe-Fogo-Pelasventa's Sal Darby in the 55th minute got a chance for a shot 55th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Toninho de Salles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sal Darby, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sal Darby in the 63rd minute of play forced Guarulhos's goalkeeper Toninho de Salles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Guarulhos's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sal Darby was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0.
