When Fernandinho Martins fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Loud Academy FC's protests and gave Fernandinho Martins a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of SE Palestra Itália booed when Loud Academy FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fernandinho Martins didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 17th minute Clayton Sergi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abel da Silva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Loud Academy FC defense, Clayton Sergi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Abel da Silva. The Loud Academy FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Abel da Silva should have stopped the shot. Edson Queiroz hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind Loud Academy FC's goalkeeper Abel da Silva, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Loud Academy FC's Abel da Silva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Clayton Sergi in the 25th minute of play. Flavinho Meirelles took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Abel da Silva. After 32 minutes of play, SE Palestra Itália's Flavinho Meirelles made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Abel da Silva was left in no man's land by his defense there! SE Palestra Itália's supporters rose to their feet, but Flavinho Meirelles was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Abel da Silva breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Loud Academy FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 79th minute, when Eriberto Scherer scored to the left of an out of position Abel da Silva, making the score, 0-9. Eriberto Scherer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abel da Silva having to interfere. Clayton Sergis short, quick shot in the 93rdth minute got Abel da Silva to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. SE Palestra Itália played a much better game than Loud Academy FC and deserved their victory. The Loud Academy FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
