The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Dibag Martinez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bruno Campon in the 3rd minute of play. Dibag Martinez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Flavinho Meirelles, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. When the match had gone on for 9 minutes, Bruno Campon took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Dibag Martinez to make any attempt to save it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Clayton Sergi in the 11th minute of play forced Xiboquinha FC's goalkeeper Dibag Martinez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Clayton Sergi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Dibag Martinez made a huge save. After 16 played minutes Xiboquinha FC got a freekick which was hit by Enrico Duarte. 20 minutes into the match, SE Palestra Itália's goal looked a bit too open when Caetano Simões came free, but Tony Chaves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dibag Martinez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Flavinho Meirelles in the 24th minute of the match. Dibag Martinez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bruno Campon in the 28th minute of play. Cesinha Vale kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. In the 31st minute of the match Olavo Moreno sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tony Chaves skillfully saved the ball. In the 32nd minute Betinho Leite shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tony Chaves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 58thth minute of the game Clayton Sergi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Xiboquinha FC's Dibag Martinez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. SE Palestra Itália's Tony Chaves proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save SE Palestra Itália from getting a goal against them. 65 minutes into the match, Xiboquinha FC's Caetano Simões sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tony Chaves narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Caetano Simões had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Xiboquinha FC's Olavo Moreno managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Caetano Félix in the 78 minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Caetano Simões got free with Tony Chaves in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Caetano Simões's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tony Chaves read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play. After 91 minutes SE Palestra Itália's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Olavo Moreno who took care of the corner kick. Olavo Moreno made a great header on Xiboquinha FC's corner, it was just that SE Palestra Itália's Tony Chaves managed to reach the ball for a save. A collision led to Xiboquinha FC getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Moisés Carvalho hit a great ball. Xiboquinha FC's Dibag Martinez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Clayton Sergi in the 95th minute of play. In the 96th minute SE Palestra Itália were awarded a corner. Adalberto Custódio went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Adalberto Custódio got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Dibag Martinez quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. For all the effort they put into the match, the Xiboquinha FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for SE Palestra Itália.
